LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Binghamton swimming and diving team dropped its first dual meet since Nov. 10 at Bucknell, Saturday afternoon from Kinney Natatorium. The men (0-4) were defeated 171-128, while the women (1-3) fell 215-85. The Bearcats had seven performers record first-place finishes on the day.

"I thought we had some fantastic performances out there today," head coach Sean Clark said. "Bucknell is a great program and I was happy to see our team compete hard against a talented team. We are continuing to improve and we swam some fast times. Now we have to turnaround and head to Canisius for another tough dual meet."

The men were led by six individuals, including three freshmen, who all posted victories for the Bearcats. Eric Farm, Brian McKenna and Tommy Cummings continued impressive starts to their careers by all recording first-place finishes against the Bison. Farm touched first in the 100 back (52.43), while Cummings earned his second victory of the year in the 200 IM (1:57.04). McKenna continued his dominance in the 50 free, registering his third win of the year in the event with a time of 21.22.

Other winners on the day for the men were sophomore Emmett Jacobi, Josh Saccurato and Devin Zdanowski. Jacobi swam to a first-place finish in the 1000 free (9:46.84), while Saccurato returned to form after a lingering injury from last season to win the 100 fly in a time of 51.74. Zdanowski led BU on the boards sweeping the one-meter and three-meter dives. He won the one-meter with a score of 279.08 and the three-meter with a total of 298.28.

Leading the women was sophomore Caitlin Kelly, who earned a victory in the 50 free with a time of 24.09. Kelly just missed out on her second win of the day in the 100 free, being out touched by Bucknell's Lauren Perry by .02.

Other strong performances were turned in by seniors Melissa Lindahl and Karissa Gorman. Lindahl, a team captain, took second in both backstroke events. Gorman finished second in the 200 breast (2:29.56) and third in the 200 IM (2:17.59). Junior Lauren Flower swam hard, placing second in both the 500 free (5:11.03) and 1000 free (10:22.96). Freshman Selina Ng performed well in the butterfly events, taking second in the 200 fly (2:14.88) and third in the 100 fly (59.26).

On the boards for the women, sophomore Imani Williams placed second and third on the three and one meter dives, respectively. The Syracuse native earned 229.88 points on the three-meter board, while compiling a score of 210.00 in the one-meter dive.

Binghamton has little time to rest as the Bearcats head straight to Buffalo for a dual meet with Canisius tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 p.m.
