Men's Soccer Travels to First-Place UMBC

Bearcats and Retreivers kick off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday

STORY LINES

Binghamton (4-11-0, 2-2-0 AE) lost 2-1 to UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon. Senior forward Steve Celeste, who is tied for the team lead with two goals and leads the squad with five total points, had the Bearcats' goal against the River Hawks.

UMBC (7-5-3, 3-0-1 AE) beat New Hampshire 2-0 on Saturday nights. Kay Banjo and Oumuar Ballo netted the goals for the Retrievers.  Mamadou Kansaye, meanwhile, leads the team with five goals and 10 total points.

Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMBC 6-5-3. Last season, with the Retrievers ranked seventh in the NSCAA National Poll, the two teams played to a 0-0 tie. UMBC won the most recent meeting in Baltimore, 3-0, on Oct. 27, 2012.
