STORY LINES
- Binghamton (2-4-0) has had a week off since its 1-0 home loss to Cornell last Saturday night. Sophomore forward Alex Varkatzas continues to lead the Bearcats with two goals and four total points so far this season. Junior forward Luca Bottoni and sophomore back Charlie Novoth each have a goal and an assist.
- Lafayette (1-3-2) played to a scoreless tie against Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. Sandy Leavy made four saves in goal to record his second shutout of the season. The Leopards' lone victory was a 1-0, season-opening win over St. Peter's August 29.
- Lafayette leads the all-time series 3-2-0, having won 2-1 in double overtime at home on Sept. 21, 2013. The Bearcats' last victory in the series was a 1-0 triumph at the Colgate Red Raider Invitational on Sept. 17, 2010. This year marks the first time the two programs square off at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
- Binghamton is in the midst of a season-high, four-game home stand. The Bearcats conclude that stretch on Tuesday against Syracuse.
- The Bearcats have started three freshmen during the first six games this season. Christian Dam has started all six games in the backfield while Isaiah Barrett has played four games at midfield and Ben Ovetsky had been at forward four times.
