NEW YORK, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis pushed 13-ranked Columbia (5-1) in several matches before falling 7-0 Friday night at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
The big match occured at No. 1 doubles, where junior
Sid Hazarika and senior
Ismael Dinia earned their biggest win of the year with a 6-4 upset victory over 16th-ranked Max Schnur and Ashok Narayana. The No. 2 doubles tandem of senior
Robin Lesage and junior
Eliott Hureau came close to a similar upset, serving at 4-5 before their 58th-ranked opponents got the clinching break.

"Overall, we've got to be proud of our performance today," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "To go toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the country and nearly steal the doubles point speaks volumes to the work that the team has shown and how much we've grown and matured. We need to build off this and keep moving forward."
Binghamton (2-7) squares off against No. 59 Old Dominion Saturday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center in Ithaca.
