Zieziula earns back-to-back Coach of the Year honor

Five Bearcats named to NEC All-Conference selections

VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton men's tennis collected five NEC All-Conference selections and Coach of the Year honors, the league announced Friday.

Head Coach Nick Zieziula was named NEC Coach of the Year after taking his team to a third consecutive NEC championship final. In his 12th season at the helm of the program, Zieziula led the Bearcats to a 6-1 conference record, clinching the No. 1 seed for the NEC tournament for a second straight year.

Ronin Lotlikar was named as a All-Conference First Team selection after going 16-6 in singles action and closed out the regular season with nine straight wins. He was named to the NEC's All-Tournament Team and was a five-time NEC Player of the Week throughout the spring the season. The Bengaluru, India native finished his career with 86 career singles victories, the third most in progrm history. 

Filipe Costa made the All-Conference Second Team in singles play with 10 wins this spring season. Seven of his matches he won in straight sets, including three coming against NEC opponents. He was named to the NEC's All-Tournament after picking up singles wins against Saint Francis and FDU.

In his freshman year, Harry Liao was named to the conference's All-Rookie team after collecting eight wins in Binghamton's No. 3 position in singles play.

Lotlikar and Liao earned a First Team doubles distinction with 14 overall wins as a duo and seven in NEC action. Binghamton's top pairing won all three of their matches in the NEC tournament this year. Lotlikar finishes his career as the program leader for most doubles victories with 83. 

Costa and Dylan Breen made the conference's Second Team doubles squad after winning 12 matches as a duo this season.
