Tyler Deuel and
Jack McKeever of the Binghamton wrestling team will compete at the 2015 NCAA Championships at the Scottrade Center this weekend. Deuel is the 13
th seed in the heavyweight bracket, while McKeever is unseeded in the 184-pound division.

The NCAA Championships get underway on Thursday, March 19, at noon Eastern. The event runs through Saturday, with the championship bouts coming Saturday night. ESPN3 will broadcast every match, while ESPN will broadcast the finals in each weight class.

Deuel, a senior from Waterloo, New York, won the 2015 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Heavyweight Championship two weeks ago. He enters the weekend on a 15-match winning streak. Deuel pinned Bucknell's Joe Stolfi in the finals at the EIWA Championships. Deuel is 27-4 overall and faced six different NCAA qualifiers this season, going 6-2 in eight bouts. He took a pair of matches from Stolfi and Garrett Ryan of Columbia.

Deuel will open competition at NCAAs with a match against Pitt's Ryan Solomon. Solomon went 15-11 this season, advancing to the ACC Heavyweight Championship. The winner of that contest will face the winner of the Austin Marsden (fourth-seeded, Oklahoma State)-Jared Johnson (unseeded, Chattanooga) match in the second round.

McKeever is a junior from Brookfield, Connecticut. He has gone 23-14 this season and finished sixth at EIWAs. McKeever defeated Columbia's Zach Hernandez in the wrestle back bracket to advance to this weekend.

McKeever begins his weekend with a pigtail match in the 184-pound division. He will take on Wyoming's Ben Stroh, with the winner moving on to face Iowa's Sam Brooks, the ninth seed.

The NCAA Championships are in St. Louis for the seventh time since 2000. In 2012, the last time St. Louis hosted the event, BU had its last All-Americans. Nick Gwiazdowski and Donnie Vinson both earned the distinction that year. Gwiazdowski is the top seed in the 2015 Heavyweight bracket, now wrestling for NC State. Josh Patterson was Binghamton's first All-American in 2009, with Justin Lister achieving the feat the following year.
