FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (2-1) looks to build off of two straight wins when they travel to Sacred Heart (2-2) for a non-conference game with the Pioneers. Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart's Campus Field.
QUICK HITSSophia Racciatti's five goals gives her eight in the last two games. That total leads the team for the season, and is the highest two-game total for Racciatti's career.
Alex Fisher has tallied a point in each of the Bearcats' games this season, one of three to do so. The other two players are
Brianne Arthur and
Tiffany Ryan. Fisher's points streak sits at six games (dating back to last season), the longest current streak on the team.
In the last two games goalkeeper
Erin McNulty has made 18 saves and allowed only 15 goals. The senior has played all 180 minutes of the season between the pipes for Binghamton.
A win would make Binghamton 3-1 for the second straight season. Last season BU won four of their first five games, and six of their first nine.
LAST TIME OUTThe Bearcats won their home opener, defeating Lafayette on Wednesday, March 4.
Sophia Racciatti had five goals,
Tiffany Ryan added two more, and
Samantha Karner had a goal and assist for the Bearcats.
SCOUTING SACRED HEARTAfter losing their first two games, the Pioneers have won two straight to even their record. On March first they defeated the America East's UMass Lowell 7-6. Kylie Calandra had three goals and Jenna Lijeberg added two more in the win.
ALL-TIME SERIESSacred Heart has won the only previous matchup between the two teams, defeating the Bearcats 10-9 in BU's first game of the 2007 season.
