Scouting Marist Marist (1-3-0) dropped a 2-0 decision to Columbia on Tuesday night. The Red Foxes' lone win was a 3-2 overtime victory over St. Joseph's in the season opener on August 28. The game against Binghamton marks the fourth straight home game for Marist.
Series Record Marist leads the all-time series 3-2, having won 1-0 last Sept. 1 at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Prior to 2014, the two squads had not squared off since the 2004 season. In all five previous meetings, the road team has emerged victorious.
Worth Noting Binghamton's current three-game winning streak is its longest since Sept. 20-27, 2009. It has outscored its opponents 5-2 during that stretch and has surrendered just 21 shots.
Dating back to Oct. 4 of last season, Binghamton is 5-2-1 in its last eight home games. The one tie was against Stony Brook in the 2014 America East quarterfinals but the Bearcats won the decisive penalty kick shootout 4-3.
