SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTUREAfter opening the season with a 2-1 win over NJIT, St. Bonaventure (1-8-0) has dropped eight straight games. Most recently, the Bonnies lost 1-0 at St. Francis (Pa.) last Friday.
Kieran Toland leads St. Bonaventure with two goals and four total points so far this season.
THE SERIES AGAINST ST. BONAVENTUREBinghamton and St. Bonaventure meet for the first time in decade. Binghamton won the most recent game, 1-0 on Sept. 12, 2005 at the Bonnies' home invitational. The previous year, the two teams played to a 1-1 tie on Sept. 8 at the old West Gym Field.
WORTH NOTINGNine games into the season, Binghamton already has shown significant improvement from 2014. Binghamton was 2-7-0 and had been shut out in five straight games at this point last year. The Bearcats already have three more victories and have scored in all but two games.
It's not just on the field that the Bearcats have improved. The average attendance through four games this year is 812. This does not include the Homecoming and Family Weekend games coming up next month, which were the two most-attended contests last year.
