RESULTSHAMILTON, N.Y.—The Binghamton Swimming & Diving program split their duel meet at Colgate today, with the men winning 147-143 and the women falling 162-124. It was the first meet for the team since coming back from their midseason break.
MENThe men started off winning the 200 medley relay, thanks to performances by
Eric Farm,
Eric Wang,
Tommy Cummings, and
Brian McKenna (1:35.55). Cummings would then win the 100 breast (1:00.53), and McKenna the 50 free (21.33). Wang then led the 100 fly (52.20), with Cummings (53.32) and McKenna (53.52) finishing in the next two spots. The Bearcats sealed the win by sweeping the top three in the 200 IM, led by
Liam Cashin (1:57.17),
Andrew Duszynski (1:59.14), and
Matthew DeVito (1:59.56).
In diving,
Colin Coughlin took first for the one meter and three meter events.
WOMENThe women also started off by winning the 200 medley relay, with
Claudia Coccaro,
Selina Ng,
Stephanie Malyszka, and
Courtney Foley teaming up for a time of 1:50.62. Coccaro then went on to win the 100 back (1:01.42), with
Katie Chung (1:02.27) and
Jenna Rice (1:04.37) taking second and third. The final win for the women was Ng in the 100 fly (58.13).
Katie Ellsworth took first for the three meter diving.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday, January 16 at 1 p.m., as the team hosts St. Bonaventure.
