RESULTS VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton swimming and diving program lost to St. Bonaventure in a dual meet today at the West Gym. The men fell by a score of 163-125, while the women lost 166.5-121.5.
MENThe men began the event by winning the 200 medley relay. The relay of
Eric Farm,
Eric Wang,
Tommy Cummings, and
Brian McKenna won with a time of 1:36.08. McKenna would then win the 50 (21.24) and the 100 (48.30) free, with
Alex Brion (22.25) finishing second in the 50.
Liam Cashin (4:50.21) took first in the 500 free, with
Andrew Duszynski (4:50.31) right behind him in second place. The men closed out the meet by winning the 400 free relay, with Brion, Cashin, Duszynski, and McKenna clocking in at 3:13.33.
WOMENThe women opened the event by winning the 200 medley relay for the third straight dual meet.
Claudia Coccaro,
Selina Ng,
Stephanie Malyszka, and
Courtney Foley led at 1:50.79. Foley (25.42) and
Sarah-Jane Wied (25.96) then finished one and two in the 50 free. One event later, Ng took first in the 100 free at 55.03. She would then follow that up by winning the 100 fly at 58.17 for the team's final win of the meet.
The Bearcats will return to action next Sunday, January 24 for a home meet again New Hampshire. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and take place at the West Gym.
