ITHACA, N.Y.- The Binghamton wrestling team won, 36-6, at Ithaca Saturday afternoon.
Jack McKeever and
Jacob Nicholson each won by pinfall, while seven other Bearcats recorded victories.
After dropping the first bout of the day, BU rallied with nine straight wins to defeat Division III's ninth-ranked team Saturday. Nicholson pinned Bryan Israel at the 6:56 mark of their 133-pound match.
At 141 pounds,
Dylan Caruana followed with a 7-3 sudden victory over Nick Wahba.
Jesse Dellavecchia continued the Bearcats' string with a 3-2 decision over Dan Pak.
Vincent DePrez collected an 18-3 technical fall in his 157-pound bout and then
Anthony DePrez posted a 10-2 major decision at 165 pounds. At 174 pounds, McKeever pinned Jaison White in 2:21, giving BU a 27-6 advantage.
Steve Schneider made it seven straight with a 4-0 decision at 184 pounds.
Mark Tracy continued his recent streak of stellar wrestling, taking down Zack Conner, 15-8.
Connor Calkins wrapped up the contest with a 6-0 win at heavyweight.
Binghamton hosts Sacred Heart in an Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) match tomorrow. The dual is set for a 1 p.m. start at the West Gym.
