VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton swimming and diving program will host Siena College and Niagara University this Saturday for an early afternoon Code Green contest at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center. At 1 p.m. the men will go head to head with Niagara with the women squaring off against both programs. This weekend provides an opportunity for the men to improve on their opening weekend success after earning a 186-105 victory over NJIT last weekend at the University of Vermont. For the women, Saturday's home contest offers an opportunity to improve on their 0-1 start after falling to the University of Vermont last weekend, 105-177.
The Binghamton men's swimming and diving team will look for junior captain
Travis Blank and senior captain
Steven Campagna to lead them to their first home win of the season. The backstroke duo have proven to be pivotal pieces of the puzzle for a Binghamton group that looks to expand on their ECAC successes last year. For the women, senior captains
Katie Chung,
Meghan Feminella, and
Cindy Shi will look to motivate their team at this Saturday's Code Green event after last weekend's loss.
Previously, the women's squad was successful in their last matchup versus Niagara and Siena, swimming for two decisive home victories on Oct. 24, 2015 when these three teams last met in Vestal. Similarly, the men swam to a 171.5-128.5 home victory over Niagara on Oct. 5, 2015.
