Men's Soccer Hosts Stony Brook on Senior Night

Bearcats and Seawolves kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-4-5, 1-2-2 AE) is coming off a 2-1 win on the road Tuesday night against a Hofstra team with a current RPI of No. 25. Senior forward Logan Roberts tied the game in the 56th minute and freshman midfielder Matt Flax netted the game winner in the 76th minute.

- Junior midfielder Ben Ovetsky and sophomore forward Nikkos Psarras each have a team-best four goals and nine total points. Sophomore midfielder Harrison Weilbacher and redshirt junior back Charlie Novoth each have tallied a team-high four assists.

- The Bearcats were No. 10 in the NSCAA East Region Poll the previous two weeks. Their current RPI is No. 77.

- Stony Brook (8-5-2, 3-2-0 AE) defeated Albany 2-1 in overtime last Saturday. Vince Erdie scored the game winner against the Great Danes. For the season, Erdie is tied with Thibault Duval with six goals and 13 total points.

- The Seawolves are currently ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA East Region Poll. Their RPI is No. 45.

- Binghamton lead the all-time series against the Seawolves 9-6-3. Last year, the Seawolves defeated the visiting Bearcats 2-1 in overtime on Oct. 30. One week later, however, the Bearcats returned to Long Island and won an America East quarterfinal game 3-2, also in overtime.

- This marks the second time in three seasons that Stony Brook visits the Bearcats Sports Complex on Senior Day. In 2014, the Bearcats beat the Seawolves 5-1 on Senior Day, clinching the No. 4 seed in the America East Tournament. One week later, the two squads met in a quarterfinal game and played to a 1-1 tie. Binghamton, however, won the decisive penalty kick shootout 4-3.

- Stony Brook has already clinched a berth in this year's America East Tournament. The Bearcats would look up a spot with either a win or tie against the Seawolves.
