VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton swimming and diving program will host VMI and Colgate this Saturday, November 12 at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatics Center. The double dual event begins at 1 p.m.
The Bearcats are back in action after victories over Niagara and Siena back on October 22. The men's team defeated Niagara 164.5-129.5 while the women swept Niagara (158.5-131.5) and Siena (178-94). Plenty of Bearcats finished first in their respective events. Top men's performers included
Liam Cashin (100 breast and 100 free),
Zachary Kaplan (200 medley relay, 100 back, and 200 back), and
Ross Bernstein (500 and 1000). For the women
Courtney Foley (200 medley relay, 50 free, and 100 free) and
Sydney Atendido (200 medley relay and 100 breast) were the top performers. Senior captain
Katie Chung also won her first collegiate race (200 back) and diver
Jaime Campbell finished second (three-meter) and third (one-meter) en route to being named the America East Diver of the Week.
After this meet the Bearcats have an extended break from home events. The team will close out the fall semester with trips to Canisius and Bucknell, before returning to take on St. Bonaventure on January 14.
