Women's Basketball Hosts Vermont On Tuesday

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (10-15, 5-7 AE) was defeated 41-39 by Hartford last Thursday night at the Events Center. Junior guard Kim Albrecht netted a team-best 12 points while freshman guard Rebecca Carmody grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Alyssa James added a game-high four blocks and a team-best four steals.
 
- Imani Watkins currently ranks fifth in the America East with 16.0 points per game. She is also fourth with 3.8 assists as well as 2.4 steals per game. James ranks seventh in the America East in scoring (14.8 ppg.) and is tied for third in rebounding (7.9 rpg). She also ranks first in blocks per game with 2.9. Albrecht is averaging 12.2 points per game and ranks second in the conference with a .420 three-point field goal percentage. In addition, Albrecht is currently first in the NCAA with a .921 free throw percentage.
 
- Vermont (7-18, 2-10 AE) lost 52-50 in overtime at Hartford on Sunday. Kylie Atwood scored a game-high 17 points while Sydney Smith, who ranks eighth in the America East with 14.5 points per game, added 14 points against the Hawks.
 
- Vermont leads the all-time series 19-10 but the Bearcats won 57-53 in Burlington back on Jan. 21. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins poured in a game-high 23 points while sophomore forward Alyssa James added 16 points and seven rebounds.
