Women's Lacrosse Welcomes #6/7 Stony Brook

Final home game for 2016 season

VESTAL, N.Y.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (4-10, 0-3 AE) concludes its 2016 home schedule on Wednesday, April 20 when No. 6/7 Stony Brook (11-3, 4-0 AE) makes the trip to Vestal. The America East matchup is set for 7 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

QUICK HITS
Callon Williams is sixth in the country in free position goals per game (0.93). The junior's 13 FPGs are one shy from tying the Binghamton single-season record of 14 (Beth Moore 2010 & Brianne Arthur 2014).

Rebecca Golderman (27 G, 3 A) and Olivia Batista (8 G, 2 A) give the Bearcats two freshmen with double-digit point totals. This marks the third time in the last four years that Binghamton has had multiple freshmen reach that mark.

The Bearcats close out their regular season with road games at UMass Lowell (April 24) and Vermont (April 30). The UMass Lowell game will mark the second time the two teams have met, and the first at the Riverhawks' Cushing Field Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
Binghamton played even with UMBC through regulation and the first overtime period, but fell in double-overtime 11-10 on Saturday, April 16. Callon Williams led the team with three goals and four points, while Rebecca Golderman and Olivia Batista each added two goals. Kaia Gallop provided some fireworks for BU when she tallied her first career goal to tie the game with just ten seconds remaining in regulation.

SCOUTING STONY BROOK
The Seawolves come into the game ninth in the country in scoring offense (13.79 goals per game) and sixth in scoring defense (6.43 goals allowed per game). Junior Courtney Murphy leads the country in scoring (4.64 goals per game), and sophomore Kylie Ohlmiller leads the America East with 2.14 assists per game.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Seawolves hold a 12-1 advantage over Binghamton all-time, with BU's win coming in 2010. At Stony Brook last year the Bearcats fell 15-2, with Valerie DeNapoli and Renee Kiviat scoring the two goals.
