STORY LINES
- Binghamton begins its 15th season as a NCAA Division I program on Friday night with a 7 p.m. game against Canisius. It marks the first time the Bearcats begin a season at home since 2009.

Zach Galluzzo, who was named first-team all-conference in 2015, and redshirt junior
Charlie Novoth, who missed last year with an injury, are Binghamton's co-captains.
- Canisius finished the 2015 campaign 8-9-1. Melvin Blair, who led the squad with six goals, returns for his sophomore year.
- Of the 31 players on Binghamton's roster, only seven of them have reached junior year eligibility status. There are 10 true freshmen on the team this season.
- Galluzzo and senior forward
Logan Roberts are the Bearcats top returning scorers with nine total points each last year. Galluzzo had four goals and an assist while Roberts posted three goals and three assists.
- A pair of All-Rookie selections return as sophomores for the Bearcats. Midfielder
Harrison Weilbacher tallied a team-best five assists in 2015 while on defense,
Kevin Flesch made 18 starts.
