Women's Lacrosse Heads to #5 Syracuse

Bearcats look to get their first win against the Orange

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Binghamton's women's lacrosse team heads to #5 Syracuse for a 7 p.m. game in the dome. The game will be televised on ACC Network Extra and broadcasted on ESPN Radio 1200 AM. WJPZ 89.1FM will also broadcast the game.

Binghamton is coming off a 17-14 loss to Lafayette in its season opener on Thursday. The Bearcats cut Lafayette's lead to one, 12-11, with 19:37 remaining, but the Leopards netted four straight goals to go up by five, 16-11. Binghamton scored three of the final four goals of the game, but couldn't overcome the deficit. Rebecca Golderman scored four goals for Binghamton, while Emma Jehle made nine saves.

Syracuse is coming off an 18-8 win against #17 Boston College in its season opener last Saturday. The Orange's offense was led by junior Riley Donahue who had seven points and four goals in the game. In the first half, Syracuse responded to Boston College's 2-0 lead with a seven-goal run.  
 
The last time the two teams met in 2016, Syracuse earned a 9-6 victory at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse has won all five matchups against Binghamton.
