Box Score NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (3-6) topped Niagara (3-4) 11-10 this afternoon in the thrilling away game matchup. Junior Tiffany Ryan scored four goals for the Bearcats as they defeated the Purple Eagles for their third win of the season.

Binghamton started the game off strong on back to back goals from Rebecca Golderman, fueling the effort on the offensive end. The sophomore's two goals were part of a 5-0 run for the Bearcats in the first half. Sophomore Emily Yoo added a third at 23:09 before Ryan netted two more to jump to a 5-0 lead.

With seven saves in goal, junior Emma Jehle stood strong in the net for most of the first half. Niagara's Rachel MacCheyne broke Binghamton's run with 15 minutes left in the first, scoring again shortly after. Niagara snuck another in with just a minute left, cutting Binghamton's lead 5-3 going into the half.

At the start of the second, the Purple Eagles scored two goals quick to tie the game up at 5-5. From there, the teams traded goals as offensive action bounced back and forth between the two teams. Three different Bearcats secured hat tricks in the second half, including Ryan, Golderman and junior Jacqueline Kennedy as the Bearcats tied the score 10-10 with just four minutes to go.

Jehle came up with a huge save with 3:28 left in the second to keep Niagara at bay. Shortly after, Ryan scored her fourth goal of the game as the Bearcats took an 11-10 lead. Jehle came up big in the net again, defending another Niagara shot with less than a minute to go. Binghamton was able to hold their lead as time ran out, taking an 11-10 victory over the Purple Eagles.

Yoo finished the game with one goal and four points, also adding on three assists to help fuel Binghamton's offense. Jehle made 11 saves in the net.

The Bearcats return home this Saturday, March 25 as they take on the Vermont Catamounts to open up America East play. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start time at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
