VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton women's lacrosse (1-5) will play host to the Saint Francis Red Flash (3-1) on Friday, March 10th.  The opening draw for this contest is set for 2 p.m. The game was rescheduled to Friday due to inclement weather in the forecast.
The Bearcats were defeated by Marist their last time out by a final score of 9-7. Although it was a fairly low scoring game, Binghamton fired 34 shots on goal including 4 goals from sophomore midfielder 
Rebecca Golderman. Junior 
Skye Schumacher scored her first goal of the season and both 
Tiffany Ryan and 
Jacqueline Kennedy each netted a goal a piece. Junior goalie 
Emma Jehle made 10 saves in the net but time eventually ran out on the Bearcats comeback effort.
St. Francis was selected to finish 6th in the NEC preseason poll. The Flash return 14 players who made at least one start a year ago, including their top 4 scorers. In their last game, St. Francis extended their win streak to three games with a 19-3 rout of Gardner-Webb. The Flash are off to a strong start under second year head coach Kara Concheck.
The last time the two teams met (2013), St. Francis topped Binghamton 10-5 in Loretto, Pennsylvania. Binghamton is looking to secure its first home win of the season.
