Men’s Soccer Travels to Washington D.C. Area for Pair of Games

Bearcats Face George Mason Friday and American Monday








STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-2-0) lost 2-1 to No. 15 Virginia Tech last Sunday in its most recent outing. Junior forward Nikkos Psarras netted his second goal of the year while freshman midfielder Noah Luescher tallied the assist. For the season, Luescher is tied with Psarras for the team lead in goals (two) and has team-best six total points.

- George Mason (2-1-1) played to a 2-2 tie at Siena last Sunday. Earlier in the season, the Patriots won 2-1 against then No. 19 Coastal Carolina and lost 3-1 to America East opponent Albany. Henning Dirks leads George Mason with three goals, three assists and nine total points so far this year.

- In the only previous meeting between the two squads, Binghamton played to a 0-0 deadlock at George Mason on Sept. 8, 2013.

- American (1-3-0) went 1-1 at the Gonzaga Tournament last weekend. The Eagles defeated Oregon State 1-0 before losing to the host Zags 4-0. Vinny Barrone had the American goal against the Beavers.

- Binghamton won its only previous meeting against American, 1-0 on Sept. 6, 2013. Current Binghamton assistant coach Tommy Moon scored the game winner in the first half.

- Earlier in the season, George Mason defeated American 3-0.
