Box Score MACON, Ga. - Visiting Binghamton (6-6) built a 10-0 lead and hung on to defeat Mercer (10-10) 10-7 Saturday afternoon at Orthogeorgia Park. The victory stretched BU's win streak to five games - all on the road.

Ben Anderson (W, 2-1) fired 6.0 scoreless innings of three-hit ball, struck out nine and didn't walk a batter. He allowed just three singles (two infield) and lowered his season ERA to 3.24. Five relievers worked their way through the final three innings with freshman
Ryan Bryggman earning his second collegiate save to end it after the Bears made things interesting with two runs in the eighth and five in the ninth.
Junior second baseman
Alex Baratta continued his onslaught of Mercer pitching with a 3-for-3, 4 RBI day. On Friday night he went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Baratta drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, hit an RBI single in the third and then delivered a two-run single in the fourth as BU extended a 4-0 lead with five runs.Â
Junior left fielder
Daniel Franchi went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Senior right fielder
Anthony Meduri hit a two-out, two-run triple in the third inning.
Binghamton rapped 13 hits from nine different players as they wore their way through eight Mercer pitchers.Â
Freshman second baseman
Cavan Tully collected his first collegiate RBI with an eighth-inning run-scoring single.
