Women’s Swimming & Diving Defeated 163-137 at Vermont

Howard and Atendido each win two individual events

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Binghamton women's swimming & diving team was defeated 163-137 at Vermont on Sunday morning.

The Bearcats has a pair of double winners against the Catamounts. Senior Sydney Atendido swept both the 100 breast (1:07.54) and 200 breast (2:2922) while junior Sophia Howard won the one- and three-meter diving events with scores of 242.62 and 243.90 respectively.

Other individual winners for Binghamton included junior Kaitlyn Smolar in the 200 free (1:56.63), senior Olivia Santos in the 50 free (24.85) and freshman Audrey Pesek in the 100 fly (58.89).

The Catamounts swept first place in both the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay.

Binghamton women's team returns home to face New Hampshire on Sunday at 11 a.m.
