VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball (0-6) returns to the road this weekend with a three-game set at Big South member Longwood (2-7). The teams will open the series Friday afternoon on ESPN+ and then play single games at noon on Saturday and Sunday at Buddy Bolding Stadium in Farmville, Va.
The Bearcats are looking for their first win of the spring after dropping series' at Wofford and Florida Atlantic on the last two weekends.Â

On the hill, BU will begin to chip away at a 9.12 pitching ERA that swelled in the series against reigning NCAA tournament team FAU.Â
Longwood is coming off a 16-6 road loss at Liberty on Tuesday. Before that, the Lancers took one of three against both Purdue-Fort Wayne and NJIT and lost at NC State. Longwood returns five starting position players, nine pitchers and 18 letterwinners from a team that went 11-41 in 2019. Early on this spring, the Lancers are batting .271 but have a pitching ERA of 9.24. Â
Binghamton and Longwood last met in 2010, when the Lancers swept the season-opening series. Longwood leads the all-time series 6-1. Â
