The Binghamton men's lacrosse team has announced its 2022 schedule. Coming off of a 5-4 conference-only spring season in 2021, the Bearcats will look to take advantage of playing 13 games this spring.
The season begins Saturday, February 12 against Marist, followed by another home match against St. Bonaventure on February 19.
The team will then have a stretch of road games as they will travel to Princeton (Feb. 22), Lafayette (Feb. 26), Bucknell (March 5), and Hofstra (March 8) before returning home to face Fairfield (March 12) closing out the non-conference slate.
"This year's non-conference schedule has a different flavor to it," head coach Kevin McKeown said. "We are playing two opponents for the first time (Fairfield, St. Bonaventure) and have added two teams we have not played in over a decade (Hofstra, Princeton). Although different, it will certainly challenge us and help us prepare for America East play."
Binghamton will open America East play on the road at Albany on March 19 before returning home to take on UMBC on March 26.
Following the matchup against UMBC, Binghamton will have the full week to prepare for a road trip to NJIT on April 2.
The Bearcats will have two weeks to prepare to take on Stony Brook on April 16.
The team will wrap up the season facing the two teams it beat just a year ago to end the 2021 regular season. First is a trip to Vermont on April 23, followed by the regular season finale back at home against UMass Lowell on April 30.
