VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton University women's lacrosse team will take on New Hampshire Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Durham. The Bearcats are coming off another extended layover due to COVID-19 protocol in their scheduled opponents' programs, the latest being Stony Brook.

BU will look to continue positive momentum after their most recent victory over Hartford. In the 20-12 win, senior Paige Volkmann led the team with seven goals and three assists, as she notched the most points scored in a single game in program history.

Hayley Weltner (four goals, five ground balls) and Rebecca Korn (three goals and two assists) were also standouts offensively.

Kristen Scheidel and Jesse Barer got on the scoresheet with their first goals of their careers.

Volkmann leads the team in goals, assists and total points (17 goals, five assists and 22 points).

Alyssa Sanchez leads the team in draw controls (19), and is second on the team in ground balls (14).

Taylor Passuello leads the team in ground balls (20) and has 45 saves this season.
Scouting New Hampshire

New Hampshire is 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the America East this season.

The Wildcats are coming off a 12-8 victory over Hartford on Sunday. Other victories are an overtime win over UMBC, and a win over Merrimack earlier in the season. Their losses have come against UConn, Albany, Vermont, and UMass-Lowell.

Julia Neyland (20 goals, three assists), Liv Dunn (13 goals, four assists) and Rylee Leonard (10 goals, eight assists) lead the way offensively for New Hampshire.
