VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton University women's lacrosse team will compete in its final game of the season against Albany Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. BU will honor their seven seniors, as well as 2020's seniors prior to the 1 p.m. start.
 

Notes

• Binghamton (3-4 overall) last played in a 27-16 road defeat at the hands of UMBC April 24th.

• Freshman Madison Murphy had her third career outing in which she scored three or more goals. She notched six goals and added an assist for a total of seven points and ranks second on the team in goals with 17.

• Senior Paige Volkmann nabbed herself two more goals and an assist to continue her strong senior campaign. Volkmann leads the team with 23 goals and nine assists.

• Hayley Weltner added two goals adding to her season total of eight.

• Alyssa Sanchez, Emily Masera and Jamie Golderman all added a goal and an assist apiece.

• Seniors that will be recognized for this Saturday's senior day ceremony will be Alyssa Sanchez, Sam Fama, Paige Volkmann, Brianna Distler, Jess Gurrieri, Alissa Franze and Taylor Passuello.
   

Scouting Albany

• Albany is 9-6 overall and 6-2 in the America East this season.

• The Great Danes are coming off an 17-10 home loss against #6 Stony Brook this past Saturday. In total, they have victories over St. Bonaventure, Colgate, New Hampshire, #20 Hofstra, Vermont, Hartford, UMBC, and UMass-Lowell. Their losses are against #13 Boston College, UConn, #6 Stony Brook (twice), #20 Drexel, and #3 Syracuse.

• Kyla Zapolski (44 goals, seven assists) leads the team in goals; Katie Pascale (31 goals, 23 assists) is second on the team in goals; and Madison Conway (27 goals, 16 assists) has stuffed the stats sheet for Albany through 15 games this season.

• Goalie Georgia Schneidereith has 63 saves this season with a .384 save percentage, and Aislinn Sweeney has 56 saves with a .444 save percentage.

• The Bearcats last faced the Great Danes on March 13th, 2021, as Albany won 19-13.
