- Binghamton (2-0-0) defeated St. Bonaventure 2-1 on Monday night before 1,006 fans at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Junior forward

Anthony Lazaridis each netted a first-half goal within a span of six minutes. With the victory, the Bearcats are off to a 2-0-0 start for the first time since 2017.
- Niagara (0-2-0) lost their first two matches at home this season – 3-0 to Cal-State Riverside on Aug. 26 and 2-1 to Utah Valley this past Sunday. Nuukele Gboe scored the Purple Eagles' goal in the second game. During the shortened 2020-21 season, Niagara finished with a 5-3 record.
- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Niagara 6-1-0, having taken the past six meetings. Most recently, the Bearcats won 2-0 on Sept. 7, 2014 at the Duquesne Invitational. In the most recent matchup at Niagara, the Bearcats rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 4-2 triumph on Sept. 29, 2010. The Purple Eagles' lone win in the series remains a 2-1 decision at the old West Gym Field back on Sept. 19, 2001.
- As a team, Binghamton ranks fourth in the America East Conference with 2.00 goals per game. The Bearcats have posted four different goal scorers over the first two games this season. In addition, three different players have recorded assists so far this year.

- The Bearcats last started a season 3-0-0 back in 2007. The last time Binghamton was unbeaten after three games came back in 2016, when they started 1-0-2.
