Men’s Soccer Concludes Regular Season Against UMBC

Bearcats and UMBC square off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES:

- Binghamton (4-8-4, 2-2-2 AE) is coming off of a 3-1 win at  Bryant on Friday afternoon. The Bearcats got goals from graduate student forward Ethan Homler, junior back William Noecker, and sophomore back Carlo Cavalar. Senior midfielder Parker McKnight also contributed two assists while senior goalkeeper Mats Roorda stopped three shots. 

- The Bearcats have already qualified for the upcoming America East Tournament for the first time since 2019. Depending on the results on Tuesday night, Binghamton will either be a No. 4 seed or a No. 5 seed. In both scenarios, the first-round opponent will either be Albany or UMBC.

- UMBC (10-4-2, 4-2-0 AE) beat visiting NJIT 4-1 on Friday night. In that match, Ryan Becher and Taylor Calheira netted two goals each. The victory marked the fifth time this year in which UMBC has scored at least four goals. 

- Binghamton holds a 10-8-4 lead over UMBC in the all-time series. Most recently, however, the Retrievers won 2-0 at home on Oct. 31, 2021. The Bearcats' last win in the series was a 2-0 triumph at home on March 19, 2021.
