VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball plays its second of 10 regular season conference series' when the Bearcats (3-13, 0-3 America East) travel to Lowell to face UMass Lowell (5-13, 0-3 AE) in a three-game set at LeLacheur Park. The teams will play at 3 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday and all three games will be shown on America East TV. 

The Bearcats began conference play with a three-game sweep at the hands of Maine. The River Hawks also dropped three to open their 2022 league slate. 

Freshman DH Evin Sullivan leads BU with six doubles and a .314 average. Junior second baseman Cavan Tully is hitting .302 and has an on-base percentage of .455, which ranks seventh in the conference. Junior catcher Connor Aoki has team-highs of four home runs and 11 RBI. 

Binghamton ranks fifth in the America East in fielding (.962) and seventh in both hitting (.234) and pitching (8.51).

UMass Lowell dropped three tight games to Stony Brook last weekend but rebounded to blast Holy Cross 17-3 on Wednesday. The River Hawks rank third in hitting (.268), fifth in pitching (6.99) and seventh in fielding (.959). Their roster includes three all-conference selections from last spring: center fielder Gerry Siracusa (.378), catcher Ryan Proto and DH Jimmy Sullivan. Senior third baseman and leadoff hitter Robert Gallagher is batting .385 with four home runs and is 15-for-15 in stolen bases. 

Binghamton leads the all-time series, 14-13 and has won eight of the last 11 head-to-head. At LeLacheur Park, however, Lowell holds an 8-2 cushion. Last season, the teams split a March doubleheader at downtown Rumbletown Stadium.
