LEWISBURG, Pa . – Graduate students
Emily Mackay and
Dan Schaffer aren't just breaking Binghamton Track & Field program records. This past weekend, at the non-scoring Bison Outdoor Classic, the Bearcat duo each broke a Bucknell facility record.
Mackay won the women's 800 in a time of 2:04.47. That mark eclipses the old Bucknell Track & Field Facility record of 2:07.49.
Schaffer, meanwhile, bagged the men's 1,500 with a time of 3:40.89. The previous Bucknell facility record was 3:41.32.
Binghamton's other first-place finisher at Bucknell was freshman
Jenna Chan, who took top honors in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.02.
Finishing in the top three for the Bearcats at Bucknell were junior
Carolyn Burnell in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:58.79) and graduate student
Brittany Korsah in the triple jump (39-3 ½).
Up next for Binghamton is the Virginia Challenge April 22-23 and the Bucknell Team Challenge on April 23.Â
