VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton women's lacrosse continues its homestand Saturday afternoon, as the Bearcats will host New Hampshire in an America East matchup. BU is playing its final home game of the season, an important duel with the Wildcats in which both sides are vying for a playoff spot in May.

BU enters Saturday's action at 1-3 in the America East. The Bearcats are fighting for an America East playoff spot alongside UMBC, New Hampshire (both 1-3) and UMass Lowell (1-4). UAlbany and Vermont have clinched postseason berths.

Kenna Newman got on the scoreboard against the SeaWolves, joining freshman Olivia Muscolino for most goals on the team with 23. Newman currently leads the Bearcats with 39 points this season.

Hayley Weltner continues to be effective on the draw, as she grabbed seven draw controls Tuesday to up her season total to 44. She also added her 14th goal of the year.

Freshman midfielder Abigail Carroll continued her strong season, picking up an assist, four draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover against Stony Brook.

BU won its last matchup with UNH by a score of 13-10. Jesse Barer, Madison Murphy and Rebecca Korn combined for seven goals in the victory.

New Hampshire enters play Saturday with an identical record to the Bearcats. The Wildcats are 6-7 overall, and 1-3 in the America East. They are coming off a 14-12 loss against Vermont.

Mackenzie MacEachern leads New Hampshire in scoring, as she has 30 goals alongside nine assists. She has scored at least three goals in seven of the last eight games.

Delaney Pratt has tallied 27 goals this season, which includes a seven-game streak of scoring three or more goals in a game.

The Wildcats average 11.15 goals per game. Earlier this season they had a four-game win streak over Boston University, Central Conn St., Columbia and Bryant.
