Baseball hosts St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon

Bearcats won weekend series against Bryant, face Bonnies at 4 p.m.

VESTAL, N.Y. - Coming off a weekend series win against Bryant, Binghamton (13-10, 5-1) is currently in second place in the America East standings. The Bearcats and Bonnies will battle at 4 p.m. Binghamton is looking for their first win against St. Bonaventure since 2018. Binghamton is currently 8-1 at home this season.

Led by Tommy Reifler (.407) and Kevin Gsell (.371), the Bearcats are hitting .294 as a team, which is tied with Maine for the best in the America East. The team also ranks third in pitching ERA (6.17) and first in fielding (.975). Reifler leads the America East in batting average and he is the only player batting over .400 in the conference. Reifler went 4-for-6 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored on Friday night against Bryant. Gsell ranks third in the conference in batting average. Gsell had two multi-hit games against Bryant (3-for-5 with three runs scored on Friday and 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored in game 1 on Saturday). and Cavan Tully is eighth in the America East in batting average. (.345). Nick Roselli is fifth in the America East in RBI with 21. 

Devan Bade is eighth in the America East and leads the Bearcats with five home runs.

Junior Justin Rosner is scheduled to make his second career start.

St. Bonaventure (4-17, 1-2 A10) is led by Christian Szablewski (.321) and Jackson DeJohn (.310). Both players are tied with a team-high four home runs. DeJohn has 14 RBI to lead the Bonnies. 

Freshman Nathan Klodowski is scheduled to make his first career start.

Dating back to 2004, Binghamton leads the all-time series, 11-5. St. Bonaventure has won the last two meetings, including a 7-3 win in Olean last season.
