Women’s Basketball Hosts Loyola (Md.)

Bearcats and Greyhounds Tip Off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-3) won 68-58 at Canisius on Monday afternoon, shooting a season-best 51 percent (27-of-53) from the field. Sophomore guards Leah Middleton and Yanniah Boyd tied for the team lead with 12 points apiece. The Bearcats also dished out a season-high 17 assists and tied their season high with eight three-point field goals against the Golden Griffs.

- Senior Jadyn Weltz leads the Bearcats and ranks seventh in the America East with 12.7 points per game. She is also fourth in both steals (2.3 spg.) and assists (3.1 apg.). Middleton is second on the team and No. 13 in the conference in scoring (10.8 ppg.) while junior guard Kaia Goode ranks second in steals (2.7 spg.).

- As a team, Binghamton is fourth in the America East in both scoring (63.7 ppg.) and rebounding (34.3 rpg.). The Bearcats also rank first in the conference with 10.1 steals per game.

- Loyola, Md. (4-2) won 60-42 at St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon. Kimmie Hicks led the Greyhounds with a game-high 28 points. She also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Laura Salmeron added 12 points in the victory.

- Hicks leads Loyola (Md.) and ranks third in the Patriot League with 17.3 points per game. Koi Sims, meanwhile, leads the conference with 10.3 rebounds per contest. In addition, Amandine Amorich is second in steals (2.2 spg.). 

- In the only previous meeting between the two schools, Loyola (Md.) won 77-73 at home on Nov. 12, 2023. Ella Wanzer - who graduated last season - poured in 36 points for the Bearcats. That tied for the fourth-highest scoring total in Binghamton program history.
