VESTAL, N.Y. – Former Binghamton men's lacrosse player Kevin Winkoff found success in the big leagues on Sunday, when he played in the Premier Lacrosse League's Championship Series semifinals for the Utah Archers.
Playing against the Philadelphia Waterdogs, Winkoff picked up four points for the Archers. He scored one goal, one two-point goal and added an assist. Winkoff joined the Archers on Friday as a free agent acquisition. In his debut for the team on Saturday against the California Redwoods, Winkoff picked up a ground ball.
Winkoff played for Binghamton from 2019-22. In 42 games with the Bearcats, the Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., native scored 70 goals, recorded 38 assists, collected 53 ground balls and caused 20 turnovers. He ranks in the top five in several categories in the program's all-time rankings, including goals, assists and points (108). He went on to be named America East First Team All-Conference in 2022 and to the America East All-Rookie Team in 2019.
Binghamton (1-1) continues its 2024 season with a game at Lafayette on Saturday at noon.
