Women second, men fourth in 11-team meet

LEWISBURG, Pa. –  Graduate student Jenna Chan was named the women's Most Outstanding Track Performer, highlighting Binghamton's performance at the Bucknell Gulden Indoor Track Invitational on Saturday at Gerhard Field House. The Bearcat women were second out of 11 teams while the men were fourth overall.

Chan swept to victory in the long jump (18-3 ¾) and the 60 hurdles (8.47). She has now won the 60 hurdles in all three meets this season. In the process, Chan became the second straight Binghamton female to be named the Most Outstanding Track Performer at the Gulden Invitational. Sophia Ryan was the selection last year.

The Bearcat women posted six other first-place finishes, including junior Alyssa Armitage in the pole vault (12-5 ½), graduate student Gianna Hoose in the weight throw (59-3), junior Lucciana Robertson in the high jump (5-4 ½), senior Jennifer Mui in the mile (5:06.09), sophomore Tatum Norris in the 200 (25.62) and freshman Anna Gansrow in the 3,000 (10:07.34). Like Chan, Hoose is now a perfect three-for-three in the weight throw this year.

On the men's side, first-place finishes were turned in by sophomore Matthew Oluwole in the high jump (6-6 ¾), graduate student Marcus Johnson in the 200 (22.11) and freshman Nick Thomas in the 3,000 (8:31.08).
