Women’s Basketball Hosts Maine

Bearcats and Black Bears tip off at 6:07 p.m. on Thursday

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (9-6, 1-1 AE) secured a 60-50 victory over UMBC (7-6, 0-1 AE) on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard Kaia Goode scored a game-high 15 points and sophomore forward Kendall Bennett added 11 points. Goode also matched the team lead with four assists, pulled down two rebounds and recorded a steal. Junior forward Camryn Fauria led the Bearcats with eight rebounds.

- Sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd leads the Bearcats in scoring and is No. 13 in the conference with 10.4 points per game. Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz ranks second in steals (2.1 spg.) and sixth in assists (3.1 apg.). Fauria and sophomore guard Bella Pucci lead the team in rebounding, each averaging 5.4 per game. They are tied for eighth in the America East rankings.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the conference in both rebounding (36.0 rpg.) and steals (9.00 spg.). The Bearcats also rank third in scoring with 62.3 points per contest.

- Maine (7-8, 2-0 AE) won 87-64 against Bryant on Saturday. Paula Gallego led all scorers with a career-high 23 points. Caroline Bornemann also contributed 20 points and nine rebounds. Maine had five additional players score in double figures.

- Gallego leads the Black Bears and the America East in assists (3.9 apg.). Bornemann ranks third in rebounding (7.5 rpg.) as well as eighth in scoring (11.6 ppg.).

- As a team, Maine ranks first in the conference with an average of 15.9 assists per game. The Black Bears are also fourth in scoring, averaging 61.0 points per game.

- Maine leads the all-time series against Binghamton 35-15. The Black Bears won all three meetings last season – including its 64-58 home semifinal win on March 11, 2024.
