Women's soccer will host Maine in Thursday semifinal

Top-seeded Bearcats meet two-time defending champion Black Bears at 5 p.m.

VESTAL, N.Y. - Regular-season champion and top-seed Binghamton women's soccer (10-1-5) will face fourth-seeded Maine (5-7-3) in an America East tournament semifinal at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Second-seeded Vermont will host sixth-seeded Bryant in the other semifinal with the two winners advancing to Sunday afternoon's championship game.

The Bearcats will bring a school-record 13-game unbeaten streak and unbeaten home record (6-0-1) into the postseason but will have to contend with a Black Bears team that has captured the last two tournament titles. 

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for youth 14 and under. Through a partnership with Nirchi's Pizza, FAHS Construction, Big E Tire and VISIONS Federal Credit Union, the first 1,000 Binghamton University and Maine students will be given COMPLIMENTARY admission.
