Bearcats play weekend series against Sun Belt power; first pitch slated for 7 p.m. (ET)

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball kicks off its 2025 season with a three-game set at Sun Belt Conference member Texas State this weekend. The teams, who shared space but didn't play each other at the 2022 NCAA Stanford Regional, meet for the first time. They will play Friday night and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at Bobcat Park.

Six-time America East Coach of the Year Tim Sinicki begins his 33rd year guiding the program. He has 700 career wins and is the third-longest-tenured coach at the same school among NCAA Division I baseball ranks.

Texas State brought in 27 new players for this year's roster coming off a 27-win campaign that featured a pair of wins over Texas. The Bobcats are 2+ years removed from their historic 2022 season, which brought them to the same Stanford regional as Binghamton. That Texas State team won a program-record 47 games, claimed the Sun Belt Conference regular season title and advanced to the Stanford Regional championship game. Four Bobcat players from that team are currently playing professional baseball.
