STORY LINES

- Binghamton (10-5) has won six straight games and is currently ranked No. 25 in the D1Softball.com Mid-Major Poll. Pitching and defense have sparked the Bearcats' early season success. They are No. 18 in the nation with a 1.99 ERA as well as No. 38 with a .973 fielding percentage.

- Junior Brianna Roberts - the current America East Pitcher of the Week - leads the conference and ranks No. 17 in the nation with a 0.89 ERA. She is 6-1 with a save and leads the America East with 37 strikeouts. 

- Graduate student outfielder Brianna Santos ranked second in the America East with a .442 batting average. She is also tops with 11 runs scored and 23 hits. Sophomore catcher Elisa Allen leads the conference with five home runs as well as 13 RBI. Junior first baseman Emma Lawson, meanwhile, is first with five doubles and second with 12 RBI.

- Roberts, Santos, Allen and Lawson are four of the five Binghamton players who were chosen to this season's America East Preseason All-Conference Team. They are joined by graduate student outfielder Lindsey Walter, who is tied for ninth in the conference with 11 hits and is tied for fifth with seven runs scored.

- Fordham (7-8) won 10-2 at Iona on Wednesday afternoon. The Rams have been led at the plate by Neleh Nogay, who is batting a team-best .352. On the mound, Holly Beeman is 4-2 with a 1.28 ERA.

- Fordham leads the all-time series against Binghamton 12-2, having won the past 12 meetings. Most recently, the Rams swept a 4-0, 3-1 doubleheader at home on April 28, 2021. The Bearcats' last victory in the series was a 4-1 road decision back on March 24, 2006.

- James Madison (6-9) lost 2-1 at Liberty on Tuesday afternoon. Cali Legzdin leads the Dukes with a .370 batting average. She has also homered once and is tied for the team lead with seven RBI. Payton List, meanwhile, leads the pitching staff with a 3-1 record and a 0.91 ERA.

- James Madison leads the all-time series against Binghamton 11-1, having won the past 11 contests. Most recently, the Dukes took a pair of 9-0 decisions at their home invitational from March 8-10, 2024. Binghamton's lone triumph over James Madison was a 5-4 win back on March 16, 2004.

- Radford (9-13) swept Sacred Heart 8-0, 6-0 in a home doubleheader on Tuesday. Amanda Lee leads the Highlanders with a .389 batting average while Rachel Smith has four home runs and 13 RBI. 

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Radford 4-3. Most recently, the Bearcats defeated the Highlanders 3-2 on Feb. 11, 2022 in the season opener at the Georgia Southern Tournament.
