VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team turns its attention towards its next event as the Bearcats prepare to compete in the Rutherford Intercollegiate, which takes place from Saturday through Sunday at Penn State's Blue Course in University Park, Pa.

Joining Binghamton and host Penn State for the 54-hole tournament are Bucknell, Connecticut, Delaware, LIU, Longwood, Oakland University, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, Towson and Western Carolina. This is the second year in a row the Bearcats are participating in this event. In 2024, Evan Sitts finished tied for 15th at 76-72-72 = 220/7-over par in what was the third of what would ultimately be five consecutive finishes inside the top 20 for him.

Moving to 2025, Binghamton finished tied for 11th in its last event, the inaugural Testudo Cup, on Sunday. Brandon Conner tied for eighth place at 70-71-74 = 215/1-under par for his second finish in the top 10 this season. Conner, who previously won the Lehigh Invitational back in October, finished under par in a 54-hole tournament for the first time in his Binghamton career. For his performance, the junior was chosen as a Prime Performer for the week by the Northeast Conference on Wednesday. It was the third time Conner received that honor from the league.

The first 36 holes will be played on Saturday, with the opening round starting at 7:30 a.m. The final round on Sunday starts at 8 a.m.
