STORY LINES

- Binghamton (22-11, 8-2 AE) swept a doubleheader at Maine last Friday, winning by scores of 7-2 and 8-0. Sophomore catcher Elisa Allen - the current America East Player of the Week - went 5-for-7 (.714) with four home runs and six RBI. Freshman designated player Rachel Carey finished 5-for-8 (.625) with a two-run home run while junior pitcher Oliva Kennedy - the current America East Pitcher of the Week - fired a two-hit shutout.

- Allen leads the America East with 14 home runs, 34 RBI, a .793 slugging percentage as well as a 1.184 OPS. At the national level, she is No. 11 with 0.42 home runs per game. Carey is second with 10 home runs and a .723 slugging percentage, third with 28 RBI and seventh with a .340 batting average. 

- It's been a banner week for Allen since her series at Maine. In addition to being named the America East Player of the Week, she was also chosen to the NCAA Softball Starting Lineup of the Week at the catcher position. In addition, she was recognized by the NFCA as a Top Performer of the Week and by D1Softball.com as a Top Hitter of the Week.

- Junior first baseman Emma Lawson is second in batting (.340) and RBI (32). She is also tied for second with eight doubles, is first with four sacrifice flies as well as fourth with a .431 on-base percentage and fifth with a .606 slugging percentage.

- Graduate student outfielder Brianna Santos is third in batting (.368), is tied for first with 25 runs scored and first with 42 hits. At the national level, she is ranked as the sixth toughest batter to strikeout (57.0). Heading into the series at UMass Lowell, Santos has a career-best 11-game hitting streak.

- With a 12-2 record, junior pitcher Brianna Roberts leads the conference in victories, She is also tops with a 2.41 ERA and is third with 92 strikeouts. Kennedy ranks fifth with 83 strikeouts, is fourth with a 3.24 ERA and is tied for fourth with six victories.

- As a team, Binghamton continues to lead the America East in hitting (.286) and pitching (3.08). The Bearcats are also second with a .965 fielding percentage.

- In the national standings, Binghamton ranks No. 21 with 1.36 home runs per game. The Bearcats are also No. 37 with a 2.34 strikeouts-to-walk ratio as well as No. 44 with 6.14 strikeouts per seven innings.

- Heading into the series against UMass Lowell, Binghamton has hit 45 home runs so far this season. The school record of 50 home runs was set in 2011 and tied last year.

- UMass Lowell (13-20, 5-6 AE) swept Merrimack 11-5, 5-1 in a non-conference home doubleheader on Wednesday. Emily Tow went 5-for-8 at the plate during the day, scored three times and drove in a pair of runs.

- Emily Baumes leads the River Hawks and ranks No. 15 in the America East with a .305 batting average. Tow is hitting .301, is tied for fourth with 22 runs scored and is also tied for fifth with six doubles. 

- On the mound, Olivia Deciste is 7-7 with a 2.86 ERA. She ranks third in the conference in ERA, fourth in victories and is second with 99 strikeouts. Gianna Lecedra is tied for fourth with a 3.24 ERA. 

- As a team, UMass Lowell ranks second in the America East with a 3.62 ERA and is fourth in batting (.247). The River Hawks are also sixth with a .937 fielding percentage.

- The River Hawks head into the series against Binghamton with a perfect 6-0 record at home this season. In addition to Wednesday's wins, UMass Lowell swept a three-game series against Maine March 28-29 and defeated Massachusetts 3-1 back on March 19.

- UMass Lowell leads the all-time series against Binghamton 18-16. Last season, the Bearcats swept a road doubleheader on April 17 but the River Hawks took two of three games in Vestal May 3-4. In the America East Tournament, UMass Lowell eliminated the Bearcats 2-1 in nine innings with a spot in the final round on the line.
