Golf Completes First Round of NEC Championship

Brandon Conner finishes opening day of the tournament tied for 19th; Bearcats eighth overall

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Binghamton golf team completed the first round of the NEC Men's Golf Championship Thursday at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course.

Brandon Conner led the Bearcats by finishing the first day tied for 19th with a score of 75/1-over par. Jackson Vesper, meanwhile, is tied for 29th at 77/6-over par. Just a few spots behind him is Harrison Blech, who ended Thursday tied for 31st at 78/7-over par.

Overall, Binghamton finished the day eighth at 310/26-over par. LIU leads the field at 283/1-under par, with André Ulvenes Kleppe sitting at the top of the individual leaderboard for the Sharks at 68/3-under par.

The second round of the tournament begins Friday at 8:30 a.m., with double tee times.
