Golf Continues Spring Season at Testudo Cup

Bearcats finished seventh at Carpetbagger Classic back in March in return to competition

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team continues its spring season by competing at the inaugural Testudo Cup from Saturday through Sunday at P.B. Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, Md.
 
The 54-hole tournament is hosted by Maryland and also features golfers from Bucknell, Colgate, Delaware, Fairleigh Dickinson, George Mason, Manhattan, Mount St. Mary's, Ohio, Saint Francis, Towson, Virginia Tech and William & Mary. This weekend is the first of four in a row where the Bearcats are competing in a tournament. It culminates in the NEC Men's Golf Championship, which takes place from April 25-27 at Kingsmill Resort's River Course in Williamsburg, Va.
 
To kick off the spring season, Binghamton finished seventh out of 16 teams at the Carpetbagger Classic on March 23. The Bearcats shot 305-299 = 604/28-over par as a team in their first event of 2025. Harrison Blech finished in a tie for 22nd at 72-78 = 150/6-over par, while Sean Shen tied for 34th at 73-79 = 152/8-over par as an individual.
 
The first two rounds will be played on Saturday, with the tournament beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final round begins on Sunday at 8:30 a.m., with double tee times.
