VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball will take a break from conference play this weekend when the Bearcats (21-19) travel to Annapolis to face Patriot League member Navy (23-23) for single games at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The Bearcats have won seven of their last nine, including an 8-5 win over Cornell on Tuesday. Binghamton sits in fourth place in the America East standings with six games remaining in the regular season. The team is three games out of a top-2 spot (and first-round bye) but also just one game out of sixth place and the last tournament slot.
Binghamton leads the America East in both hitting .286 and fielding (.975) and is fourth with a 6.40 pitching ERA.

Matt Bolton leads the league with 57 hits and senior catcher/outfielder
Zach Rogacki is third with a .364 average. Senior third baseman
Devan Bade ranks second with 41 RBI and senior catcher/DH
Evin Sullivan is second in home runs (11) and third in OPS (1.065).
Navy has dropped five of its last six, including a 5-1 loss at Virginia on Wednesday. The Mids are 14-11 in the Patriot League, good for a share of second place. They will begin PL tournament play next weekend. The team hits .247, has a 4.84 ERA and a .964 fielding percentage.
