Women’s XC, Men’s Swimming Top AE Sport GPAs

Cross country also records highest overall team GPA in the conference

VESTAL, N.Y. – The America East has released its list of team GPAs for the 2024-25 academic year and the Binghamton women's cross country team has recorded the top overall average. In addition, the Bearcat men's swimming team, which won its second straight conference championship this year, also posted the highest GPA in its sport.

The women's cross country team posted an overall GPA of 3.81. In the process, it becomes just the second Binghamton program to post the highest GPA in the conference. The men's tennis team led the America East with a 3.69 GPA in 2009-10.

Binghamton has now posted the highest women's cross country in the America East two straight years. On the course, the Bearcats placed third out of nine teams at the conference championship meet back in October.

The men's swimming & diving team, meanwhile, recorded a 3.53 overall GPA. The Bearcats have now posted their sport's top GPA in three of the past five years. In the pool, Binghamton has also claimed three of the last five men's swimming titles.
