VESTAL, N.Y. – Another quick turnaround see's Binghamton women's basketball (12-5, 4-0 AE) head south for an America East matchup against UMBC (7-9, 2-2) on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip-off.

The Bearcats hosted UAlbany (11-6, 1-3 AE) for their Youth Education game on Thursday, where they picked up a 63-61 win in front of a record-setting crowd at the Events Center with 4,671 people in attendance. The highest attendance for a women's basketball game at the EC.
Kendall Bennett picked up her seventh double-double of the season (17pts, 11 rebs).
Carletta Bennett had a career game of 13 points on 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 from the three-point line.

Mary Grimes has gotten the Bearcats off to a 4-0 start in the America East for the first time in program history. Since joining the conference back in 2001-02, the Bearcats have ever started 4-0 in their 25 years in the league. They started off 3-1 twice back in 2007-08 (finished 9-7) and 2016-17 (finished 8-8).

Kendall Bennett sits among with the best in the nation, ranking sixth in field goal percentage at 63.6%. The junior forward leads the team with 14.5 points per game and has made a career-best 91 field goals this season.
AMERICA EAST LEADERS
While sitting atop of the standings at 4-0, Binghamton has the best scoring offense with 72.3 points per game, while only allowing 62.8 ppg. The Bearcats also rank first in turnover margin with an even five and are tied with Vermont for the least number of turnovers (46).
Binghamton is also the top ranked team in shots blocked per game at an average of 4.25.
