Women's basketball gears up for Wildcats

Bearcats looking to bounce back into the win column

VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton women's basketball (12-6, 4-1 AE) prepares to take on New Hampshire (6-12, 0-5 AE) on Thursday for a 6:07 p.m. tip-off. The game will be broadcast for the first time on MSG Networks.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bearcats suffered their first loss in AE play this season after dropping to UMBC 64-58. Binghamton was held to under 60-points for the first time in conference play this season. Bella Pucci and Meghan Casey combined for 23 points, while Kendall Bennett recorded 10 rebounds in the loss.

BENNETT TOP-10 IN FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE
Kendall Bennett sits among with the best in the nation, ranking seventh in field goal percentage at 62.2%. The junior forward is averaging 13.8 points per game and has made a career-best 92 field goals this season.

70 IS THE SWEET SPOT
Binghamton is 7-0 when scoring 70 or more points this season, showing that reaching that offensive threshold has been a strong indicator of success for the team with the efficiency and pace of play the Bearcats bring.

CASHING IN ON FREE THROWS
Binghamton is first the conference and 28th in nation in free throw percentage with 77.3%. Bella Pucci sits third in the conference and 47th in the nation (85.7%). Kendall Bennett ranks fourth overall in league with an 81.3% conversion from the line. Pucci and Bennett are the only pair of teammates that sit in the top 5 in the conference in free throw percentage.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Kendall Bennett notched her seventh double-double of the season against UAlbany. seven double doubles rank her second in the conference and 26th in the nation.

Bennett is currently averaging a double-double in conference play with 15.4 ppg and 10.0 rebs.

HISTORIC START 
In just her second season, head coach Mary Grimes has gotten the Bearcats off to a 4-0 start in the America East for the first time in program history. Since joining the conference back in 2001-02, the Bearcats have never started 4-0 in their 25 years in the league. They started off 3-1 twice back in 2007-08 (finished 9-7) and 2016-17 (finished 8-8).
