Bearcats will face Raiders in their final non-conference match of the regular season

VESTAL, N.Y. – In what will be its final non-conference match of the regular season, the Binghamton volleyball team (11-8, 2-4 America East) will travel up the road to Hamilton, N.Y., to face Colgate (9-11, 4-7 Patriot) at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Cotterell Court.

THE LAST TIME OUT ON THE COURT
Binghamton was defeated in five sets by New Hampshire last Sunday at the West Gym. The loss snapped the Bearcats' three-match winning streak. Regan Kadel recorded her second double-double in as many matches and fifth of the year by putting up a season-high 54 assists to go along with 12 digs, while Maya Coblentz-Brown and Magi Milicevic each led Binghamton with 14 kills. Hannah Olmstead also had 12 kills and eight blocks, and Celeste Ocampo put up a career-high 32 digs.

CAN YOU DIG IT?
Ocampo continues to establish herself as one of the top-performing liberos in the country. The sophomore ranks 11th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 4.96 per frame. Ocampo has recorded at least 26 digs in each of her last three matches, reaching that mark a total of five times this season.

THE BLOCK PARTY CONTINUES
Binghamton ranks 27th in the country as a team with an average of 2.63 blocks per set. Leading the Bearcats in blocks is Olmstead, who has 78.0 so far this season. Her average of 1.34 blocks per set rank 32nd in the country. Teammate Francesca Pierdonati, meanwhile, has 77.0 blocks this season, averaging 1.12 per set.

SETTING THE TONE
Kadel has recorded at least 39 assists in each of her last four matches. Her average of 8.42 assists per set ranks third in the America East Conference. The junior has also put up at least 10 digs in four of her last six contests.

MORE ON COLGATE
Colgate leads the all-time series against Binghamton 14-9, having won the last seven meetings between the two programs dating back to 2008. The last time the Bearcats defeated the Raiders was on Oct. 2, 2007, when Binghamton swept the match in Hamilton.

Colgate enters Wednesday's match having lost five of their last seven matches, all against Patriot League opponents. In their last outing on Oct. 24, Colgate fell to Navy in five sets in Annapolis, Md.

Tiana Owens leads the Patriot League in both points per set (4.07) and kills per set (3.62). The junior outside hitter, who is a two-time Patriot League all-conference selection, has put up at least 14 kills in each of her last four matches.

Meanwhile, on defense, Hannah Langton ranks at the top of the Patriot League in digs per set at 4.51. Langton, who is in the middle of her first season at Colgate after competing at Central Michigan for two seasons, put up 25 digs against Navy last Saturday. That was her most in a match since Sept. 26, when she had 29 in a win at Holy Cross.
